By the number of candles lit in the photo, one might think the school celebrated its seventh anniversary. In reality, it celebrated its fifty-eighth birthday yesterday. This entailed a general assembly where all the classes performed a song or a skit for the school. The majority did a song and I posted a few videos, highlighting some of them. Their energy in the auditorium was tangible, as the anniversary meant a three-day weekend for the students. Normally, they get Friday and Sunday off to accommodate the Muslims and Christians, so this is a much anticipated break for the kids and teachers. |
